  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: whole pecans, chocolate chunks, ganache drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter; press into a lined 9×9-inch baking pan. Chill.
  3. Whisk eggs in a large bowl until frothy; add corn syrup, sugars, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in pecans and chocolate chips; pour over chilled crust.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly. Cool completely before cutting.
