  • 1 & 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup + 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon sriracha hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper. Place them in a plastic bag with cornstarch, seal, and toss until evenly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken in batches until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5 minutes per side.
  3. In a saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sriracha, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch. Bring to a bubble over medium heat until thickened.
  4. Combine the cooked chicken with the sauce in the skillet and simmer for an additional couple of minutes.
