  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1.74 oz Sure Jell fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Clean jelly jars and strawberries; remove stems from strawberries.
  2. Crush strawberries until desired consistency is reached; measure out 2 cups into a large bowl.
  3. Add 4 cups of sugar to the strawberries and let it sit for 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  4. In a saucepan, stir the pectin with 3/4 cup water; bring to a boil while stirring constantly for one minute.
  5. Quickly combine the boiled pectin with the strawberry mixture; stir for about 3 minutes until well mixed and thickened.
  6. Fill jelly jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top; cover with lids and let set at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
