  • 14 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup plain flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 1/2 cups strong cheddar cheese, grated
  • 12 ounces canned tuna (drained and flaked)
  • 12 ounces canned sweetcorn (drained)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil rigatoni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for one minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  3. Combine cooked rigatoni with cheese sauce, tuna, sweetcorn, peas, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
