  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 whole lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Add the onion, celery, carrot, and garlic; sauté until tender (about 5 minutes).
  2. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir continuously for about 2 minutes. Gradually mix in the chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Stir in half-and-half or heavy cream along with Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the lump crab meat and cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve in bowls garnished with fresh parsley and accompanied by lemon wedges.
