  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon wedge (for serving)
  • 1 cup cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once done, fluff with a fork and keep warm.
  2. While the rice cooks, pat the salmon fillet dry and season it with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and then place the salmon skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 3-4 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then spoon this mixture over the cooked salmon.
  5. Serve the salmon over a bed of fluffy rice, garnished with fresh parsley and accompanied by a lemon wedge.
