  • 3⅓ Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Lemon (juiced and halves reserved)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the peaches under cold water, then pat dry.
  2. Cut the peaches in half, remove the pits, and slice into quarters while peeling off the skin.
  3. In a large jam pan, combine the peeled peaches with sugar and lemon juice along with the squeezed lemon halves.
  4. Stir to mix well and bring to a rolling boil over medium heat.
  5. Reduce heat to simmer for 40-50 minutes until glossy and translucent.
  6. Remove lemon halves and blend the mixture to your desired consistency.
  7. Test for setting by placing hot jam on an ice-cold plate; if it runs when moved, continue cooking until set.
  8. Fill sterilized jars with hot jam, seal tightly, and store upside down for a few hours.
