  • 1/2 cup Canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup Minced garlic
  • 1 Shallot (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Korean chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 tsp White granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp Reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Rice vinegar
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine canola oil, minced garlic, and sliced shallots over low heat. Simmer until garlic turns light golden brown (about 5-6 minutes).
  2. Add grated ginger and stir until fragrant. Mix in Korean chili flakes, toasted sesame seeds, sugar, and sesame oil; cook for another minute.
