  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and generously grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan or bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter on medium-high speed until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes). Gradually add sugar and beat for another 3–5 minutes until very fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully combined.
  4. Reduce speed to low; alternately add sifted flour and milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
  5. Stir in vanilla and almond extract if using.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 1 hour and 30 to 1 hour and 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
