  • 1 2/3 cups water

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the oranges into 0.3-inch rounds. Optional: Boil in water for 5-10 minutes to reduce bitterness.
  2. In a pot, mix sugar, spices, and water. Stir well and add orange slices; cook on low heat for about 1.5 hours until translucent.
  3. Drain excess syrup and place on paper towels to dry. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  4. Preheat the oven to 212°F (100°C) and bake the oranges for 30 minutes total (15 minutes on each side).
  5. Allow cooling completely before dipping each slice in melted chocolate.
