  • 1 1/22 pounds flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all spices for the spice mix and set aside.
  2. In a large resealable bag, whisk together olive oil, orange juice, lime juice, brown sugar, and half of the spice mix. Add the flank steak to marinate for at least 4 hours (up to overnight).
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and pat dry; rub with remaining spice mix.
  4. Grill each side for about 5–6 minutes until desired doneness is reached (130–135°F for medium rare).
  5. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
