  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix in salt, oil, and two cups of flour. Add remaining flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead until smooth, then place in a greased bowl to rise for one hour.
  4. Punch down the dough, divide into 16 pieces, shape into bone forms by rolling out and slicing.
  5. Place on a greased baking sheet to rise again for about an hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F during the last rise phase.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan.
